July 10, 2007
Coffee lovers will be pleased to know Starbucks is among eight new tenants coming to Cypress Plaza, a $15 million shopping center currently under construction on a 16-acre site fronting Cypress Parkway in Poinciana Towne Center.
Joining Starbucks will be N.Y.P.D. Pizza Delicatessen, The Taco Maker, Mattress One, State Farm Insurance, Your Hometown Colortyme, Avon, and Nail Salon, according to Seth Gadinsky, managing partner of Gadinsky Real Estate, LLC of Miami Beach, joint venture partner in the development of the $15 million shopping center with Echion USA Inc. of Sunrise, Florida.
Located just west of Pleasant Hill Rd., Cypress Plaza Shopping Center will be comprised of nine Mediterranean-style buildings with a total of 100,149 square feet of space. If construction goes as planned, Gadinsky expects Cypress Plaza to open for business in February 2008.
In-line tenants previously committed are Dollar Tree, Hibbett Sports, CATO women’s fashions, Sherwin Williams paints, Payless Shoe Source, Amscot Financial Services, Sally Beauty, and GameStop.
Starbucks and N.Y.P.D. Pizza Delicatessen will share one of three free-standing restaurant sites fronting Cypress Parkway, while Pollo Tropical and Panda Express will occupy the other two.
Most of the 28,800 sq. ft. of space in two office condo buildings has been sold to local businesses, Gadinsky said. Currently two in-line storefronts of 1,672 and 3,200 sq. ft. remain available, as does a free-standing bank site of approximately 4,396 sq. ft. and a free-standing retail/fast food site with drive-thru of approximately 6,000 sq. ft.
When operational, Cypress Plaza Shopping Center will join the nearly 80 businesses and restaurants that operate in Poinciana Towne Center, the retail hub and social center of Poinciana which is being developed by Avatar Properties Inc., also the primary home builder in the 47,000-acre master planned community that straddles Osceola and Polk counties.
A Wal-Mart SuperCenter, a Winn-Dixie Marketplace, and the Promenade Shopping Center anchored by a Publix Supermarket are major tenants in Poinciana Towne Center which also includes a library, family medical center and post office.
