Site development under way on Eagle Isle at Bellalago

Avatar Properties Inc. has begun site development for Eagle Isle, the sixth of 15 planned neighborhoods in its award-winning, gated community of Bellalago which is being developed alongside Lake Tohopekaliga (Toho).
Approximately 200 homes in Avatar’s popular Oceana Series are planned for Eagle Isle which is being developed on a peninsula that extends into the community’s planned 300-acre Lake Bellalago.
Nearly 90 percent of the homes are planned to back up to the lake, a wooded park, and one of three eagle nest preserves in Bellalago.
Pre-sales are planned to begin in June with homes and homesites expected to be priced from the low $300s, according to Avatar’s Michael Manning, Bellalago sales manager.
The Oceana Series currently offers seven 3-, 4- and 5-bedroom Mediterranean-style plans with living areas from 2,218 to 3,162 sq. ft.
Home exteriors offer tile roofs, brick paver driveways and walkways, decorative columns, shutters, coach lamps and lush lawns and landscape packages with irrigation systems.
Designer interiors feature 9’4” ceilings and offer a wide range of features including spacious great rooms and family rooms, gourmet island kitchens, dens, lofts, formal dining rooms, luxurious master suites with sitting areas, and sumptuous master baths.
Optional features include tray and 11’4” ceilings, 5th and 6th bedrooms, fireplaces, hobby and game rooms, and swimming pools.
The 2004 Excel Award winner as Florida’s Best Master-Planned Community, Bellalago has posted an eye-popping 711 sales in its first 27 months on the market, an average of nearly 26 per month.
Bellalago is a 1,313-acre community that has over one mile of shoreline on Lake Toho and features a multi-million-dollar amenity complex and Bellalago Academy, a K-8 charter school.
Community amenities include an open-air grille and pavilion, band shell, state-of-the-art fitness center, free-form pool with water slide, junior Olympic pool, spa, wading pool, and children’s water park.
Other community amenities include tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, a playground, a 1,300-foot-long boardwalk with gazebo on Lake Toho, and 400 acres of conservation areas and wooded nature preserves.
Near future plans include the creation of Lake Bellalago, neighborhood parks, and a labyrinth of walking and biking trails throughout the community. A boat ramp and lift at Lake Toho are currently under construction and expected to be operational in May of this year.
Planned for approximately 2,000 homes, Bellalago is located on Pleasant Hill Road, approximately five miles south of Highway 17-92 in Kissimmee.
