Avatar opens Pleasant Hill Self Storage facility

Avatar Properties Inc. has opened Pleasant Hill Self-Storage, the first self-storage facility located in the 47,000-acre master-planned community of Poinciana.

The new 63,000 sq. ft. facility, fronting Pleasant Hill Road just north of Poinciana Boulevard, was over 25 percent leased in the first three weeks and Avatar expects remaining storage spaces to go fast.

“With Poinciana’s resident population already exceeding 50,000 and retail growth in Poinciana Towne Center at an all-time high, this facility is the only one of its kind in Poinciana that offers countless storage opportunities for homeowners and businesses alike,” said Avatar’s Hank Yunes, vice president-commercial operations.

The $3.5 million storage center has a total of 446 storage spaces ranging from 25 square feet to 360 square feet. Approximately 41 percent of those spaces (183) are climate controlled, Yunes said. Pleasant Hill Self-Storage also has 20 covered spaces and another 135 outdoor spaces for boat, vehicle and RV storage.

“These spaces are extremely popular with boat owners in Poinciana, SoliVita and our nearby community of Bellalago on Lake Tohopekaliga,” said Yunes.

Pleasant Hill Self-Storage features state-of-the-art security with an electronic intrusion system, personalized keypad gate access, an on-site property manager, and offers a complete line of moving and packing supplies.
